Climate Change Impact on Drought Characteristics in North Lombok Regency

Lombok Island is part of Indonesia which has a high vulnerability to drought. The area that often experienced drought severely on North Regency. This study wants examine the effect climate change characteristics in this region using standardized precipitation index method four rain stations rainfall recording data 20 years (1999-2018). analyses were taken into two groups 10-year time scale, 1999-2008 and 2009-2018, overview both 10-years characteristics. Drought values ​​were observed period 1-month (SPI1), 3-months (SPI3), 6-months (SPI6) get map duration, magnitude, intensity, relative frequency. results show showed decrease significantly all measurement parameters used. SPI3 have shown duration was decreasing last 10 by 87%, from 2,43 0.03 months. strength decreased 88%, -1.03 0.12 (severely dry normal). Then intensity became lower up 87% -0.22 -0.03 monthly, frequency events 83%. Signs decline further followed same trends 6-month index, SPI6. parameter illustrates impact reduced risk disaster island future
